I didn’t go looking for the junk – it found me, as we went on our travels around Yorkshire and Cumbria. Some of it was reasonably priced, and some of it was not. But I had a blast poring over it, and rummaging around in the piles of vintage and antique gatherings to bring a few treasures home.
Any guesses as to what came home? A couple of them are in the pictures above!
Lovely cups! I enjoy a good frolick in second hand stores. Even if I don’t come home with something I always feel so good after.

Yeah it zones me out too. Treasure hunting twenty-first century style!

Bet it was the fur with the freaky little tails hanging off it? 😜
I wish we had that sort of thing locally, I do peruse the charity shops regularly, but they’re not quite the same thing.

No, I have to confess the feel of fur repulses me, so the ermine did not come home with me!
These were such a good find though. Our charity shops are no way like this either.

I love looking at old things. You’re right that it’s a treasure hunt – that’s what I tell my children. I have a collection of antique tea sets myself so I’m forever searching for tea cups.
I love those compacts – was thinking of starting another collection but have to stop myself as there’s no room!

I have no room for collections of anything, but I do seem to have a lot of teapots and coffee pots!
