That’s it; I’m calling time on the garden for this year. Over wintering things are in, some herbs are yet to be cut, but for now, it’s a wrap. All that’s left is to add some dead leaves and leftover compost to the beds and let them rest.

All the tomatoes suffered blight in the end, so were harvested green. No matter. As I was tidying up the beds we found some volunteer plants which had snuck in – some carrots, chillies, plenty of strawberries, and it was like a little gift from a friend.

Hopefully this time next year there will be a whole lot more food coming in!
