Random images to you, but a mind palace of associations to me. Following on from the intense missing of my little people (now they are slightly bigger) led me to amble down Flickr lane again. It never fails to stun me that things that were once my every norm are now forgotten half memories. I know I’ve forgotten my tiredness, illness, stress, of all those very demanding days of littles; all I remember is their smallness and the ease of how to entertain them. Mostly it involved me plonked on a floor watching their stories unfold, or outdoors exploring. In reality not much has changed, for they would happily have me plonked on a floor now adoring them as they played, or read, or internetted, and outdoor exploring still occurs, but with probably a little less falling flat on their faces in muddy puddles. Which can only be good thing, if I remember the state of my car back then correctly.
So, with one eye on the past I live in the present, enjoying this moment right now, knowing that these too will be memories cherished. Saying ‘yes’ to new adventures, ‘yes’ to more exploring, ‘yes’ to more time spent absorbing these little people as they, inconsiderately, rush headlong into men.
Oh my God… How much what you say is echoing here… The Mama and the boys’ theme is something that I never thought I would be part of, let alone enjoy! But here I am… Watching how fast my little one has changed from a cooing baby to a little boy trying to get me to understand his little words… My heart pounds when I think that only yesterday your little men were my boy’s age, and that in a blink of an eye, I will watch my little one becpming more huge, changing voice and startimg to grow facial little hairs!
Life is just nostalgic…

Oh, yeah… I know… soon enough we will be in the feet-in-shoes-all-day phase, and then when they take them off I can imagine how the house will smell.
But that’s a dear part of them, our boys ❤

Lovely photos – so strange to look back and reminisce. I’ve also been looking through photos and trying t get them organised, every so often one will bring a tear to my eye – how fast they grow!
