I apologise now for the inordinate amount of garden shots I will probably burden you with again this year. I can’t help it. I love every stage of a plant’s life. I could just sit and watch and watch and drink it all in without blinking for months. It is so soothing to watch it all unfold, to see it all link into the whole.
I love to see the birds flit into and out of our garden, watch the ants drink from the blossom, and later, pick the fruit. It centres me like nothing else can.
So humour me, OK?
Currently enjoying the blossom popping up everywhere. The white flowers look just like popcorn, don’t you think? I can almost hear the soundtrack that goes with this unfolding – it is the soundtrack of a popcorn machine…. pop! …. Pop! …. pop! pop! ….. pop! pop! pop! pop!popopopopopopopopopopopopopopopop…. and then the tree is covered.
And each spring I’m reminded of my little boys when they were even littler than they are now – they would point and say, ‘Uck! (look) Snow twees!!’ … ahhh… or they would say the trees looked like they had icing on. And they do. They look like all this and more.
I love this time of year.
